Jamal Johnson joined the Greater Philadelphia Community Alliance in November of 2023 as Human Resource Director. Prior to his role at GCPA, Jamal served as Employee and Labor Relations Partner at Jefferson Health System, Senior HR Business Partner at Grazer Health System, and HR Director for Delaware County, PA. In these roles Jamal was responsible for recruitment, performance management, contract negotiation, staff training, and compensation strategy for a number of agencies and healthcare facilities in the greater Philadelphia area.

Jamal also spent five years in an HR role with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as training coordinator for the PA Department of Corrections and as a labor manager for the PA Department of Human Services.

Jamal earned a Master's degree from the Pennsylvania State University in 2019, and a Bachelor of Arts from Shippensburg University in 2002. He earned a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) from HCRI in 2015, and has maintained a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) since 2018.
Jamal was also appointed for a 3-year term as Vice Chairman of the Delaware County Economic Development Board in 2021, a nonprofit corporation charged with managing financial incentives offered by the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development."
